Discord plans chat search as Datavault AI flags inaccessible BTC and BNB Chain outlines new L1 launch plan. Today’s BTC price is near $80.8K amid Neutral sentiment. The cryptocurrency market showed a short-term recovery ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision. Bitcoin rebounded from nearly $79K over the weekend to around $80.8K, while Ethereum recovered to approximately $2,350. Both assets recorded gains over the past 24 hours. BTC climbed back above the $80K psychological level as short-term buying activity improved. However, the price remains within a consolidation range following its earlier pullback and has yet to break through the main trading zone overhead. From a technical perspective, the $82K to 84K range continues to hold significant potential selling pressure and leveraged positions that could influence near-term price volatility. ETH also recovered to around $2,350 following its previous decline. This suggests that the short-term rebound has extended across major cryptocurrencies, although further trading volume and capital flows will be important in assessing broader market conditions. Market sentiment showed modest improvement, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index rising to 51 in Neutral territory from 48 the previous day. The reading remains below last week's 63 and indicates that investor sentiment has yet to return to its earlier Greed levels. According to Coinglass data released on October 28, total cryptocurrency liquidations reached approximately USD 149 million over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations accounted for USD 48.614 million, while short liquidations totaled USD 99.9278 million. The considerably higher volume of short liquidations indicates that some leveraged bearish positions were closed during the market recovery. Liquidation data also shows that a decline below $76,566 could trigger an estimated USD 1.572 billion in cumulative long liquidation intensity across major centralized exchanges. Conversely, a move above $84,036 could expose approximately USD 1.068 billion in cumulative short liquidation intensity. These figures represent estimated liquidation exposure under specific price scenarios rather than actual liquidations. They also do not indicate that BTC will necessarily reach either level. On the macroeconomic front, the Federal Reserve is scheduled to announce its latest interest rate decision in the early hours of October 29 in Asia. Markets widely expect the central bank to leave interest rates unchanged. Investors remain focused on how the accompanying policy statement may shape expectations for interest rates through the end of the year. Overall, the recovery in BTC and ETH suggests an improvement in short-term trading demand. However, adjustments in leveraged positions and uncertainty surrounding monetary policy could continue to contribute to price volatility ahead of the decision.

Discord To Make Public Server Messages Searchable, Raising Community Privacy Concerns
Discord recently announced changes to how public community content can be discovered through search engines. Under the new policy, discussions from certain public servers will become searchable through external services such as Google. This will make conversations that were previously accessible mainly within Discord available to a wider audience across the public internet. The update applies to Discoverable Servers with at least 1,000 members that are listed in Discord's public server directory and can be joined without an invitation. Starting November 16, eligible public servers will gradually receive dedicated web pages that may display summaries of discussions from public channels. These pages will allow people outside the communities to access relevant information without joining the servers. Beginning in mid-December, individual messages from eligible channels will gradually become available for search engine indexing. This means specific questions and responses may appear directly in web search results. Discord explained that the change aims to address the difficulty of finding useful information stored within community conversations that traditional search engines cannot access. Private servers, direct messages and group messages will remain outside the scope of the update. Publicly displayed messages will not include usernames or avatars, and messages posted before the rollout will not be eligible for individual message indexing. Nevertheless, some users have raised privacy concerns about their conversations becoming discoverable by people outside their intended communities. The changes are also relevant to cryptocurrency communities because many blockchain projects use Discord to share technical updates, community announcements and user support information. The new search policy therefore affects how publicly accessible discussions within these communities may be distributed beyond the platform.

Datavault AI Shares Plunge Nearly 50% After Bitcoin Withdrawal Issues Prompt Financial Restatement
U.S. company Datavault AI disclosed in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it had been unable to withdraw some of its Bitcoin holdings from a third-party digital asset trading platform. The company subsequently determined that it needed to restate previously issued financial statements. Following the disclosure, Datavault AI shares fell approximately 49.55% on October 27 and closed at $0.067. Trading volume reached around 244 million shares as investors reassessed the company's asset recognition and financial position. The issue dates back to September 2025 when Datavault AI entered into a securities purchase agreement with Scilex Holding Company. Under the agreement, Scilex agreed to purchase approximately USD 150 million worth of Datavault AI shares and related warrants using Bitcoin. According to the company's regulatory filing, Scilex subsequently credited approximately 1,309.04 BTC to Datavault AI's account through internal off-chain transfers on the trading platform. These transactions updated account balances within the platform rather than transferring Bitcoin directly on the blockchain. Datavault AI later sold approximately 491.43 BTC back to Scilex through off-chain transactions in exchange for around USD 40.5 million in cash. The company stated that it attempted to transfer the remaining Bitcoin to an external wallet in June 2026. However, the withdrawal process remained incomplete when the latest filing was submitted. Following an internal review, Datavault AI concluded that the Bitcoin balances did not meet the accounting requirements for recognition as corporate digital assets. Instead, the amounts should be treated as receivables related to the issuance of shares and recorded as a reduction in shareholders' equity. The company preliminarily estimated that the adjustment would reduce reported assets by approximately USD 92.2 million at the end of 2025 and USD 49 million as of June 2026. Management must also reassess the company's liquidity and ability to continue operating because the Bitcoin balances had previously been considered available resources to support ongoing operations. Datavault AI plans to restate its financial statements for the affected periods. However, the adjustments remain preliminary and the final figures and completion timeline have not been confirmed. The filing also did not establish the specific cause of the withdrawal difficulties.
Crypto Market Rebounds Ahead Of Fed Decision As ZEC Gains Nearly 8%
The cryptocurrency market recorded broad gains ahead of the Federal Reserve's upcoming interest rate decision. Several major digital assets posted positive returns, with privacy-focused cryptocurrency Zcash (ZEC) emerging as one of the stronger performers. Bitcoin rebounded from nearly $79K over the weekend and briefly gained almost 2% to trade just below $81K. The recovery brought BTC back toward a key psychological level that has attracted considerable market attention. Ethereum also advanced approximately 2% and climbed above $2,350. Both BTC and ETH therefore recorded short-term recoveries following their previous declines. Among other major cryptocurrencies, ZEC rose around 8% to approximately $1,320. The token reclaimed the $1,300 level and recovered part of its earlier losses. HYPE gained nearly 5% to around $81, while XRP and DOGE each advanced approximately 3%. SOL increased about 2% to trade near $102. BNB recorded a gain of around 1%, while TRX rose less than 1%. These figures highlight differences in the pace of recovery across major cryptocurrencies. On the macroeconomic front, markets widely expect the Federal Reserve to maintain the federal funds target range at 3.75%–4.00%. Financial institutions have indicated that investors are paying attention not only to the immediate rate decision but also to remarks from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh during the post-meeting press conference. Expectations for a possible interest rate increase in December remain another key focus. Separately, Galaxy's head of research Alex Thorn recently suggested that Bitcoin may have reached a cyclical bottom in June. His assessment referenced BTC trading below $58K at the time, its subsequent move relative to the 50-week moving average and changes in selling pressure. However, this interpretation reflects the views of an individual research institution rather than a confirmed market trend. Overall, the latest market data shows that BTC, ETH and several major cryptocurrencies recovered ahead of the Federal Reserve's decision. The upcoming policy statement remains a major event for market participants.

BNB Chain Advances New L1 Architecture With Native Account Abstraction And On-Chain Privacy Features
BNB Chain's development of a new Layer 1 blockchain architecture has attracted market attention. Technical documentation indicates that the project is exploring a multichain structure to expand its existing ecosystem while retaining BNB as its core asset. According to official BNB Chain documentation, the new L1 is designed as a high-performance blockchain compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Its main objectives include reducing transaction latency, accelerating transaction finality and improving execution efficiency for high-frequency on-chain applications. The new network builds on the existing Parlia Proof-of-Stake consensus architecture and incorporates mechanisms such as BLS voting. The design targets transaction finality within one second using block intervals of approximately 200 milliseconds. The architecture also introduces transaction pre-confirmations that provide users with preliminary processing signals before transactions are fully finalized. However, the project emphasizes that pre-confirmation does not guarantee finality and that these signals may be revoked under certain circumstances. In terms of account functionality, the new L1 will natively support account abstraction. This will allow users to execute multiple operations within a single transaction and manage authorization through passkeys, delegated keys and third-party Gas fee sponsorship. These capabilities will be available without requiring users to deploy separate smart contract wallets. The network also plans to introduce a Multi-Lane reserved capacity mechanism that allocates portions of block Gas capacity to specific transaction categories. This design aims to reduce competition for shared resources among different applications, although reserved capacity does not guarantee that individual transactions will be included in a block. For privacy functionality, the new L1 includes a native Shielded Pool that allows users to deposit assets into a privacy pool. Zero-knowledge proof technology will be used to conceal sender addresses, recipient addresses and transaction amounts for transfers within the pool. According to the official technical roadmap, the development team plans to launch a testnet by the end of 2026 and is targeting an early 2027 mainnet launch. The new L1 remains in the developer network stage, and its technical parameters and implementation details may change as development progresses. Some privacy modules have also yet to undergo formal security audits. As a result, the currently published performance figures should be regarded as design targets rather than capabilities verified through long-term mainnet operation. The architectural upgrade addresses technical requirements across high-frequency trading, on-chain payments, private transfers and automated applications.
