How to Use the FameEX Futures Calculator?

1. Before placing orders, you can use the FameEX Futures Calculator to calculate the initial margin, profit and loss (PnL), Return on Investment (ROI), and liquidation price.

2. You can calculate “PnL”, “Target Price”, “Liquidation Price”, “Max Open”, or “Entry Price” to inform your trading decisions.

3. Select “Long” or “Short” and fill in the entry price, exit price, and quantity fields. In addition, you can choose your leverage level by sliding the cursor along the bar.

4. Once you click “Calculate”, the results for your initial margin, PnL, and ROI will be displayed on the right.

Here are the formulas for calculating the initial margin, PnL, ROI, and other relevant data:

Initial Margin = Quantity × Entry Price × IMR
Initial Margin Ratio (IMR) = 1 / Leverage

PnL:
Long = (Exit Price - Entry Price) × Quantity
Short = (Entry Price- Exit Price) × Quantity
ROI = PnL / Initial Margin = Side × (1 - Entry Price / Exit Price) / IMR
Side: 1 refers to long orders, while -1 refers to short orders.

Target Price:
Long = Entry Price × (ROI / Leverage + 1)
Short = Entry Price × (1 - ROI / Leverage)
