Whether you're logged into your FameEX account or not, you can use the Futures Calculator to estimate key metrics such as Initial Margin, Profit and Loss (PnL), Return on Investment (ROI), and Liquidation Price before placing any orders.

How to Use it?

1. Click ‘Futures’ at the top of the FameEX official website, then select ‘USDT Perpetual’.

2. Click the ‘Calculator’ button in the bottom-right corner of the page.

3. You can choose to calculate your futures strategy based on PnL, Exit Price, or Liquidation Price. In the following example, we'll use the PnL to demonstrate.

4. Choose either “Open Long” or “Open Short.” Next, enter the key details for your trading strategy, such as LeverageEntry PriceExit Price, and position Amount. Once everything is filled in, just click “Calculate” to see the results.

Here are the formulas for calculating the initial margin, PnL, ROI, and other relevant data:

Initial Margin = Quantity × Entry Price × IMR

Initial Margin Ratio (IMR) = 1 / Leverage

PnL:

Long = (Exit Price - Entry Price) × Quantity

Short = (Entry Price- Exit Price) × Quantity

ROI = PnL / Initial Margin = Side × (1 - Entry Price / Exit Price) / IMR

Side: 1 refers to long orders, while -1 refers to short orders.

Target Price:

Long = Entry Price × (ROI / Leverage + 1)

Short = Entry Price × (1 - ROI / Leverage)
