Tezos Blockchain and Google Cloud Collaborate to Create Web3 Technology

As a result of the cooperation, Google Cloud will start acting as a validator on the Tezos network.

A new partnership adds another tool to Google's Web3 toolkit by making its cloud computing business a network validator on the Tezos blockchain.

The Tezos Foundation, a Swiss non-profit organization that supports the Tezos blockchain, said on February 22 that it has
partnered with Google Cloud, enabling users of the cloud computing service to install Tezos nodes and create Web3 apps on the blockchain. Similar to EthereumCardano, and other blockchain-based smart contract platforms, Tezos powers decentralized apps. Gaming industry leader Ubisoft and the California Department of Motor Vehicles are two businesses that have adopted Tezos.

Using the Tezos blockchain and the Google Cloud architecture, this cooperation will also enable businesses and developers to host and deploy RPC (Remote Procedure Call) nodes for Web3 applications.

Both new and current users of Google Cloud will have access to the organization's corporate baking program thanks to the Tezos Foundation. Under the initiative, Tezos will give Google Cloud users that are interested in creating Web3 apps, easy deployment of nodes and indexers on the Tezos protocol.

With the Google for Startups Cloud Program, the alliance will also offer mentorship and Google Cloud credits to a limited group of Tezos incubator firms.

According to James Tromans, Engineering Director, Web3 at Google Cloud, "We're offering safe and trustworthy infrastructure for Web3 entrepreneurs and developers to experiment and expand their apps."

The agreement, according to Mason Edwards, the chief commercial officer of the Tezos Foundation, is a step toward institutional acceptance and mass-market prospects for Web3 technology.

A specialized team for digital assets was formed by Google Cloud in January 2022 with the goal of promoting the development and expansion of the blockchain ecosystem. The team's main goal was to help Google Cloud's clients create, exchange, maintain, and introduce new goods on platforms powered by blockchain.

The Near Foundation launched a fresh partnership between Near Protocol and Google Cloud in October 2022. The collaboration was supposed to provide Pagoda, a Web3 startup platform developed by Near, with infrastructure assistance.
